It hasnt failed again yet, but I'm having issues with videos? I'm trying to watch Glee on Fox but it's all pixelated (as in lines and or blocks of colour).

Can you see if it does that for you? I've never viewed video's on the site and it seems to be okay for youtube.

Hi Anathema

It hasnt failed again yet

Lets hope it stays that way
Sorry I canot view the Video
1) My Internet connection is to slow - Can't even watch Youtube.
2) I tried the site and they do not allow it to be viewed in Australia.
I did notice on the site they have a link titled Playback Problems.
You could try that and see what happens.

Cheers

I think it might just be that site. I wont be able to say for sure if the problem's solved until probably Wednesday because I just started a new job and I'm not on here much while I'm setting my job up properly ;).

But thank you soooooo much for your help :D.

Hi Anathema
Your welcome.
It would be nice once you have settled into your new job if you could let me know if you think the problem is solved.
Cheers

Thanks for the luck! :D

Unfortunately the driver's failed 3 times in the last two days....twice while using XP compatibility cause I was playing Sid Meier's Railroads. Would you like the event log stuff or is that not helpful to you?

DWM pretends it's running but it musnt be because I couldnt swap windows at all just before and it was putting what ever I had open first in front no matter what I did. I had to hold the power button because I couldnt even click the links in my browser :D.

I removed the compatibility mode from my game before DWM died and the display driver still fails. I got a screenie of it:

DWM died after the display had died about 3 or more times.....maybe it's connected somehow?

I get the EXACT same error with compatibility off :D .

Also, the video issue has extended to YouTube now lol. I think I'm going to reformat, or at least hit the Lenovo reset button. I just need to buy an external to back up my things because my current external isnt working.

Are you ok with running in safe mode with networking to see how it behaves? Safe mode will load a basic windows video driver. I do not want you to run in xp mode just native windows 7 and see how it performs.
To boot in safe mode turn on the laptop and keeping pressing F8 this should bring up a screen with options of booting.
Choose the option to boot in safe mode with networking. The screen will look a bit odd but is still workable.
The idea is to see if the error still comes up or not.
Cheers
