BackTrack is generally run off a live CD it is not usually a distro that you install as it is a penetration testing tool.

May I recommend you take a look at Ubuntu or openSUSE for running linux.

Sure. Foremost among them would be to post to the appropriate section... I don't see how that has anything to do with Backtrack Linux being installed in Win7.

Post to the right section, and your likely to receive better results. Sounds like a hardware issue. Try starting a new topic in Hardware, Components, and peripherals.
