My HP 550 Notebook has basically had its day and its not even 2 years old.
Not long after warranty ran out it came up saying 'Windows\system32\winload.exe' had been corrupt or deleted.
So im having to use a second choice in disk drive c where there is no space, i'm constantly having to delete history to get onto the internet.
I have recovery disks and these do not work. I'm literally on my last nerve at this.
I'm no computer whizz so if you could help me please let me know.
thanks.

Hi aadx, Welcome to geekstogo.
Recovery instructions for HP/Compaq laptops.
Make sure you have ALL your important files back up before you start.

1. Reboot, and repeatedly press F10 at the HP logo until the recovery screen appears.
2. When the recovery screen appears, press "Next" and then "Yes" to perform a non-destructive recovery.
3. To perform a destructive recovery, click "Advanced" and then "Yes".
4. After the recovery is finished, the laptop will reboot.
