Hello

I recently bought a new Toshiba laptop with 116GB hard disk capacity of which 87GB is free.

RAM is 3GB and the operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have noticed that the laptop runs pretty slow and takes quite long at the start up as well as to open a new web page. I know that there are quite a few Toshiba installed programmes that keep running in the background that could be lowering the speed down. I want to know how and which programmes I can disable that is using the RAM which probably is the reason for the laptop being slow.

Can you please advise? Thanks very much for your help in advance.
