I got a computer with a Intel D945GCNL board with a Celeron D E1500 and 2Gb DDR2 800(single channel)
I'm looking at upgrading the with 3-4GB RAM and a Core 2 Duo E6420
and a ATI Radeon HD 5450 card.

Will I see a significant improvement with the E6420?
800Mhz<1066mhz 512kb<4MB 2.20ghz>2.16ghz

Or would it not be worth the $120+ for the E6420 and keep the E1500?
They way it sits now it plays Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 1920x1080 @ 8Gb but it wont play Gamer 1920x1080 @ 7GB
with a 75-80% load on the CPU(stock Intel 945G graphics)

BTW the computer is going to be used as a lowend HTPC

Thanks in advance
