I have a problem similar to the one described by louuu in a topic titled "slow computer - norton detects trojans - ssu.exe process problem".

However, though I have Norton Anti-virus running, it does not detect the SSU.exe process. Additionally, the infected PC is a family PC (ie, more than one account), which the original thread indicated required a different approach.

I'd like to know how to address my version of the problem.

Couldn't find Hoster, but did find HostsXpert. Tried running it and got the following error: "ERROR: Cannot create file C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\ETC\hosts".

Any suggestions? Should I continue with the next step in the other thread?
