WMIAdaptor & DCOM Erros in Event Viewer

I've noticed in Event Viewer I have two errors that are constantly showing up when I reboot. The first one is the "WMIAdaptor open of service failed" and the other is "DCOM the service database is locked attempting to start the service (netman), (StiSvc) amd (winmgnt) with arguments in order to run the server (then it lists a string of numbers). All three errors say the exact same thing but with different memory location numbers or whatever those numbers are? Anyone have any ideas what these errors are or mean? I'm running XP Pro w/SP2 on an AMD 2800+ w/1MB of ram, 120GB hard drive, Audigy 2, and ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB and all the latest drivers and bios upgrades for a Gigabyte motherboard and VIA Chipset.

dcom errors are not a big deal...you will often get one when a service does not start in an expected amount of time, and then it starts soon after. don't sweat that one.

what more can you say about the wmiadapter...that is unusual
