I have been following the instructions here before re-posting this thread in Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal and, when running GMER rootkit detection, it scans some of the disc before presenting me with a stop error (bsod).

Is anyone aware of a reason as to why this might happen? I am running XP SP3 on a Dell Latitude E6400.

Thanks, in advance
