Is it possible to convert windows Vista movie maker to windows 7 movi

I'm trying to convert some edited video footage which I had edited using Windows Vista movie maker to use on my new laptop which has windows 7 movie maker, can it be converted? as my new laptop doesn't like it.

You can convert avi files and so on with dvd flick here is a link to it. http://dvdflick.net/download.php

I have tried Flick and as far as I can make out that because all my Vista movie maker projects are not completed it is the same as not using Flick and the same things that I could transfer before are all the same. Thanks for giving me something to go on but it doesn't work.
