Hey guys, I was just wondering if it's a good idea to update network adapter drivers because I've been getting weird internet spikes and the out of date drivers may be the problem, though I'm not quite sure.

It says I have a 5.3.0.85 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter II and a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet 10.35.0.0, both out of date.
I can update both but I'm wondering if I should, and if I need to uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones.

Anyone mind helping me with this process? When I tried updating my graphics card driver, I forgot to uninstall my old driver, and my computer looked real funky. Don't really want that to happen with something else.

Thanks

if you have a reason to believe that the updated drivers would help, then give it a shot. you don't have to remove the old drivers first.
