Hi,

I recently reformated my computer and re-installed Windows XP. Now, I can't get the speakers to work. I don't have the sound drivers that came with my speakers. Is there a site that has drivers for any type of speaker? I've been searching Google for hours trying to solve this issue. Can someone please help me out?

Need to know some information to help.
Is this a desktop or laptop?
Name brand or custom built?
Make and model of system if name brand.
Make and model of motherboard if custom built.

Once the information is posted we can help locate the correct drivers for you.

You need drivers for your sound card, not your speakers.

What do you mean there are no files to download?
Where are you getting this message from?
Did you read the installations instructions on the Dell page?

I went directly to the drivers, without reading the instructions. That's where it indicated there were no files available...
Question:
Does it mean that ALL drivers must be installed in a particular order? Must I reformat my PC before installing all drivers?

I see 5 different drivers in the Audio section on the link I gave you. I'm not sure why you are showing no drivers there.
Do you see this below on the page?

Drivers & Downloads for Dimension E521

A little ways below that you should see

All Dimension E521 (49 files)

Then under that you should see the different areas of which Audio is the 2nd entry down. You click on the down arrow to the left and it should expand the entry to show the 5 drivers.
When you click on the Download link tot he right of a driver then a new window pops up asking if you want to use a download manager or your browser.

I see exactly what you're saying and it is showing the drivers there, but when I download any of the 5 audio drivers by saving them to my computer they don't work. When I try to open the 'Dell Driver Download Manager', I get this message.."There are no files to download. Please go to Drivers and Downloads to select file(s). If you try it yourself, you'll see what I'm saying.

I've tried installing that driver before and I got a message saying that if I continue with the installation process that it could be harmful to Windows. I continued anyways and I still no sound. Then I noticed that it erased everything in my 'Entertainment folder' (----->Start----->Programs----->Accessories----->Entertainment). Am I making sense?

It's not working, when I try to install the driver, it searches for a cd and obviously there is no cd, so the installation fails.
