a bit dramatic I grant you, but here's a little puzzle for:

2x HD lettered C: and D:
3x CDroms lettered E: F: and G:

E and F are real and G is just some erroneous DVD drive that I don't have (or have ever had).

Gipo move on boot won't shift it, uninstalling via hardware manger just removes it until reboot. Can some kind soul please either tell me how to remove it (the G: drive) or buy me one (I'm hoping for DVDRW).(lol)

Please help me get rid of this G: drive, it doesn't harm anything but it's getting on my nerves!

p.s just before you ask I'm virus, maleware and spyware protected!

are you certain someone has not installed a virtual drive program...some burning apps like Nero and Alcohol have them, and then there is daemon tools and virtual drive.

no. I have nero6 ultra edition, does that mount a drive?
