So, there are multiple dwm.exe files on my PC, and svchost.exe files that are out of place, MBAM isn't exactly helping at the moment, and Hijack this came back with a proxy listed in my Internet Explorer, which is causing me quite a bit of grief....

Running Windows 7, and if you need more specifications toward my PC, let me know.

If this can help to solve my problem, I'd be much obliged.

Until then, cheers.

Boot into Safe Mode (reboot, when you see the maker's logo, hear a beep or it mentions F8, start slowly tapping the F8 key. Keep tapping until you see the Safe Mode menu and choose the top option. Log in as your usual login.)

Run HJT, scan only and check the following:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:50370

F3 - REG:win.ini: load=C:\Users\Lawhorn\AppData\Local\Temp\dwm.exe

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [svchost] C:\Users\Lawhorn\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\svchost.exe

Then Fix Checked.

Reboot into regular mode.

Do as much of

http://www.geekstogo...uide-t2852.html

as you can. Since you have a Win7 64bit system some of the tools won't be happy so if a step won't work, skip to the next one. Copy and paste your logs into a reply. Do not attach them.

If you lose internet access after running MBAM or if you are not able to get to the downloads:

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, then uncheck all boxes and OK. Close IE and restart IE.

In FireFox, Tools, Options, Advanced, Settings, check No Proxy then OK. Close Firefox and restart Firefox.

In Chrome, Wrench, Options, Under the Hood, Change Proxy Settings, uncheck all boxes, OK.
