I didn't see if it listed any fixed errors or not...
"High and hot"- the fan still sounds loud and the laptop is hot, thus making the cpu seem overworked.
If i did a virus scan my cpu would probably shut off... :D
I own a hp dv4 laptop

Have you checked the vents on the laptop to make sure they are cleared of any dust or clogs?
The fan may be wearing out which would cause noise but it sounds more like you have a lot of heat happening.

BTW did you ever uninstall Nero as I asked in post 9 ?

But would the fan malfunctioning effect my laptop in such a way to randomly shut down the cpu and display the blue error screen?
Is it necessary to uninstall nero?
just curious lol I'm gonna do it right now!
thanks :D

Yep overheating is the number one killer of system and especially laptops since they are so compact. They tend to overheat easier since the vents can clog real easily.

Is it necessary to uninstall nero?

If it can't be halted in the msconfig startups then yes it needs to be uninstalled till we make sure of the issue.

Great to know! :D thanks so much
Just uninstalled nero!
Do I have to disassemble the computer in any way to clean the dust?

Being a laptop you can only open the compartments on the bottom and the vents themselves to blow the dust out.
One word of caution when using compressed air. Do not turn the can upside down as this will emit liquid from the fan which will damage your laptop.

How is the sound now?
Is it less, more or the same?
One word of advice is to not lay the laptop on any surface like blankets, pillows or any fabric as this will impeded the air flow even more.
How about the temps have they come down any?
Is the system shutting down on it's own and still getting bSOD's?

The sound is still fairly loud BUT it depends on the program I'm using...
If i open a hefty program the fan will get loud in phases(3 phases to be exact) the last sounding like the cpu is about to explode.
If i were to run a virus scan I would guarantee a random shutdown or blue screen.
I haven't experienced either though cuz I'm afraid to run any hefty program :D
may be a hardware problem...?

The only way to really tell is to get temp readings before you run the program and then get one while program is running.
If BSOD happens then I need to see the Blue Screen Viewer log done again to show it.
If just a shut down then a Event Viewer log to show it.

I'm running a scan now and everything seems ok... the computer is still working slightly hard but the fan sound hasn't increased dramatically like before.

The CPU usage is rather high while scanning/multitasking...

Before Scan/multitasking:
HD 43
Temp1 40
Core 81

During Scan/multitasking:
HD 52-55
Temp1 40
Core 85-95

no shutdowns as of now :D

Actually based solely on those temps you are well within acceptable ranges.
I see a core temp but what about actual cpu temp?

That is located on the motherboard inside the system.
Unless you are confident on taking a laptop apart I never suggest doing that.
I'm still wondering about some program that may be causing this so can you please do the following for me.
Download Autoruns from the link in my signature below:

1: Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.
2: Double-click the "Autoruns.exe".
3: Click on the "Everything" tab
4: Remove any entries that mention "File Not Found" by right-clicking the entry and select Delete.
5: Go to File then to Export As or Save in some versions.
6: Save AutoRuns.txt file to known location like your Desktop.
7: Attach to your next reply.
