GTA IV trouble.

Hello all, almost a year ago I got GTA IV for the PC, through steam (for an absolute steal, €7.50).

It worked fine for about a month or maybe more in total, then when I got an update for it, it just stopped working completely.

Every time i try to start it up it has a message that reads "Sorry, but this version of gtaiv.exe is not supported. Supported versions: 1.0.3us, 1.0.4us, 1.0.0.4".

I find that very strange considering it was the official update. Anyone have any ideas?
