I think all Laser (at least entry level ones) are B&W/Monochrome, correct? I am tired of being told that a BW/Color Ink jet is a good option when in fact the quality is so terrible; if I need to print color, I will take it to a print house.

Hi,I have had a Kyocera FS600 for 10+ years and had no problems except for the odd paper jam. I do geneaology research & print hundreds of sheets & have only used 3 toner cartridges in this time, still on the 3rd. Very reliable. Have just upgraded the internal memory. This link is only a UK site but you could find a supplier in your location.

The cheapest laser printers are B&W, correct.I think all Laser (at least entry level ones) are B&W/Monochrome
This depends on the quality of 1: The printer 2: The quality of the ink 3: The quality of the paper.BW/Color Ink jet is a good option when in fact the quality is so terrible;
Fine if you only ever need to print in B&W.if I need to print color, I will take it to a print house.
For a no nonsense review of B&W laser printers here is a link http://www.consumers...nochrome/review

@deggit - same here; I am heavily involved in genealogy and local history. Over the last 4 year I have been printing at a cost since my Ink Jet at home was terrible.
Thanks folks!
