XP SP 3 conflict on Vista OS

I am trying to install a compatible piece of software onto my laptop which is running the Vista OS however, it fails to run as it thinks it's looking at an XP OS and states it needs XP SP 3 installed before the software will install.

What is causing the software to think that my laptop is running on XP? How can I fix this?

I'm trying to install Sage Act 10.
