I've been told that search engines will think that www.myexamplesite.com and myexamplesite.com are two separate sites and are ranked as though they were.
My site is myexamplesite.com not the www version
I was told I need to insert an .htaccess 301 redirect file into the root directory so that spiders crawling will make sure they count as one site.

I have seen a TON of things on how to do one of these files but when trying to decipher what goes in the file I am at a total loss. I have already created the file in notepad and have it saved...but what do I put in the file???? ;)

:D so have I totally confused you all as much as I am confused? ;)

I've gotten a headache trying to figure this out....
