I’ve been sifting through every article and thread I can find on…hyperlinks not working and loading logon pages…and have not found an answer. I started looking last week, so I thought I would try to explain my dilemma.
I have a long list of tracking numbers (these also happen to be inv#s) in a spreadsheet for a private freight company. I have my log-in for their website.
I log into the website and can pull/open documents by copy pasteing the url into the browser. The documents are .pdf files.
My simple spreadsheet looks like this…
A1: tracking number example 123456
B1: =HYPERLINK("http://companyurl.ne...voice/?HWB=", "View")
If I paste the url http://companyurl.ne...ice/?HWB=123456 into the browser it opens the document, but if I click the link in the spreadsheet it stops at the login screen…
I have updated/ reinstalled Adobe, tried with Firefox/IE, tried the basic url hyperlink from Word (this also loads the login).
I think that it’s not my function…it’s something to do with Office communicating to the browser… it keeps trying to open a new session maybe?
Has anyone else run into this problem and how do I solve it…I have an unknown amount of tracking numbers/invoices to download, and my efficient way of doing this is not working.
I am running out of time. This problem must be resolved! Please help me!
I have…Vista, Office 2007 and the latest Adobe and browsers.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899927
http://support.micro....com/kb/218153/
Those were the only support documents I could find relating to my issue but it seems that they are outdated as I do not have…HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common The options are 8.0 or 11.0 or 12.0.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance!
