I have two usb ports on my laptop with windows 7, both of the little plastic pieces in the middle broke off. I took it to a computer repair shop and they said they didn't replace usb ports. they also said that you cant speed up your processor, so I'm thinking maybe its not true. Is there a way to fix or replace the usb port on my laptop?

The reason the processor cannot be replaced in most laptops is because it is soldered directly onto the motherboard.

As far as replacing the USB ports, yes, it can be done. Three USB and one power port on a Lenovo W701 ran $1,163.00.

If you provide the make and model of your laptop we may be able to offer you some assistance.
As SpywareDr has pointed out laptop repair prices are expensive, a new laptop may be more cost
effective I`m afraid.
