Hi,

Hoping someone can help. This afternoon I watched a DVD in my blu-ray player on my HP Pavilion Elite 9127c running Vista 64 bit. At the end of the disc, I turned the program off and left the disc in the drive. Awhile later I went to eject the disc and the eject wouldn't respond. I went to 'my computer', the bluray wasn't showing but at the time the DVD-ROM was. I did a system restore to 2 day ago hoping that would fix it. Neither Blu-Ray or DVD showed up following that.

I checked event viewer and got "the device ATAPI BD 0 DH403s ATA DEVICE disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal". I don't have an event # for this since it's now filled with another error listing about the DVD ROM.

I googled and found the uninstall lowerfilter and upperfilter and did that, only the lower filter was in the registry. I also ran the microsoft help thing about dvd drive not showing up, it wasn't able to fix it either.

I'm totally at a loss.

Thanks for any help.
Lisa
