I tried fix it now and the tech wanted $200.00 to fix the problem. He said I needed to optimize my computer and the Registry Key has been corrupted

If it happens with every hyperlink in Outlook, one well-known cause is that you've installed Google Chrome at some time, then uninstalled it.
Chrome alters Registry entries associated with hyperlinks and fails to reverse the changes when it gets uninstalled. Unfortunately, these changed entries are in all sorts of obscure places and impossible to rectify manually.

It happenned on my wife's laptop and the only known fix then was to re-install Chrome. Initially, hyperlinks will open in Chrome because it sets itself as the default browser. But if you change the default to, say, Firefox, hyperlinks will then open in Firefox instead (or whatever your default browser is set to). Just don't uninstall Chrome or you'll get the same problem of hyperlinks not working again. Thanks for dumping on us Google - again!
