Just to confirm, did the OTL fix work then, or do i need to reinstall it and run it again?

Also, I've downloaded the new Java Runtime Environment to my desktop, but everytime I try deleting the old SE Runtime Environment and its updates, each one of them gives a dialog box in Add or Remove Programs "Fatal eror during installation". Is there another way to delete them?

No, OTL is now finished :D

For the Javas I would recommend that you use Revo Uninstaller free

Thanks again! Computer seems to be running very fast. Just on the last part of your to-do list and was wondering about Firewalls... The link to "How did I get infected in the first place" is amazing. I did notice that it is from Jan 2009, and was wondering if any of the advice has changed since then. Is Sunbelt still the best firewall? I think I read somewhere that the Windows Firewall isn't good enough. If I get another firewall, do I then need to disable the Windows firewall?

That topic is updated as required so the initial date is not really a guide. As I am on 7 with AIS I have no need of a firewall but I do hear good things about that one, yes turn windows firewall off if you install a third party one :D
