Win 7 HOme 32 bit or 64 Bit?

I am buying a budget system just 4G RAM, 500G hard drive, Intel dual core 2.7 Is 32 bit WIN 7 more appropriate or 64 bit? Both are offered. Not a gaming pc. A heavy user of MS Publisher

Personal preference here, go for the 64bit version it is more secure

If you want use of all 4 gigs of memory you need a 64 bit OS.
32 bit will only use 3.5 gigs at best.

Hi Janis,

It really comes down to personal preference. It looks like your processor will be able to handle the 64-bit no problem. If you're looking for a few resources, I'd check out this article from the Windows website explaining the difference between the two. Could help you make your decision.
