Hey about one month ago my dvd drive stopped picking up/registering disc that are placed in. I was wondering whats wrong and are there any solutions other than get a new one? thanks.

The most common reasons for this are: 1. out of date drivers and 2. Loose Wiring (external or internal), try these and write back Posted Image

alright well ive done software runs on it and its not out of date so i guess i'll check loose wiring...

Wow Really! Posted Image, the cheapest DVD R/W drive I found was $40AUD, but that was from a retail vendor
