I am not able to install .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 and .Net Framework 2. This problem has been there with my computer for a long time.

I use XP SP3. Please advise what all other information would you like me to post?

Please help.

Remove them all with this:
http://blogs.msdn.co...28/8904493.aspx

You should then be able to reinstall the frameworks you need.

Thanks, Neil!

I think 3.5 and 2 were installed.

Now what I am getting is this:

- Security update for .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 on Win XP (KB2416473)x86 was not installed

- Security update for MS Office Power Point 2007 (KB982158) was not installed

- Also, when I reboot my computer I get the following error:

Could not locate lvht.exe

- A text file opens, which contains the following message:

[.ShellClassInfo]
[email protected]%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

Please help with this as well.
