Hi

At home I have wireless network - netgear router and 3 laptops. The internet is protected with WEP. I want to k now, if it ispossible for anyone outside the network to access my laptops and share the personal files on internet? I use P2P torrent sites often on one of the machines, can that open the channel for outside people to access my all three machines?

Please guide me on how can i secure my personal data.. or if I am already secured?

First of all, no support can be offered for the P2P, in fact you are recommended to remove the P2P software as they are havens for virus infections which will probably cause you more grief in the long run than any wireless network.

As to wireless security - WEP is too insecure. You should really use WPA as a minimum, or WPA2 if your hardware supports it.
