I am not very computer savvy and would like some help if at all possible.

See those weird pixels that are flickering just above my toon? Well it happens alot when playing HD games such as Fallout and Splinter Cell. I do not have the slightest idea what is doing it. I have updated my drivers to everything I think is relevant. if anyone can walk me through some basic troubleshooting I will love them forever.

Try plugging the computer and monitor into a completely different circuit, (like in another room).

I can show you two computers that display this same type problem. One is plugged into the same circuit as a little window, wall-rattler type air-conditioner, and the other is on the same circuit with a refrigerator. When either appliance turns on you can see those little white'sh pixels vibrating around in different areas on the LCD monitors. (Probably has something to do with the motors inside those two appliances).
