Hi
First time here and have followed all the instruction listed.

On startup I receive the Dr Watson Postmortem debugger error message - needs to close and all programs trying to load after this message are unable to do so including spywareguard.

Have run Norton, Spybot, Adware, CWShredder and clean it but no luck.

The DrWatson log show some problem with wanadoo.

Have run HJT and here is the log

Disable SpywareGuard before we start. By guarding your settings it could hinder us.

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

R3 - URLSearchHook: Search Class - {08C06D61-F1F3-4799-86F8-BE1A89362C85} - C:\PROGRA~1\Wanadoo\SEARCH~1.DLL

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WooCnxMon] C:\PROGRA~1\Wanadoo\CnxMon.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WOOWATCH] C:\PROGRA~1\Wanadoo\Watch.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WOOTASKBARICON] C:\PROGRA~1\Wanadoo\TaskbarIcon.exe

O9 - Extra button: Wanadoo - {1462651F-F4BA-4C76-A001-C4284D0FE16E} - http://www.wanadoo.fr (file missing) (HKCU)

Then reboot and try uninstalling Wanadoo.

Download and doubleclick http://www.wildersse...remove-hook.reg and confirm you want to merge it with the registry.
It will disable SpywareGuard's active protection so that the next time you reboot your system, the SG modules will not run.

Hi
The string is already present - Deleted the HJT entries and on reboot, now no Dr Watson message. Spywareguard is not loading at all and I cannot open the program. Have lost a couple of system tray icons as well.

Cannot delete wanadoo - get the following message

Runtime error
Program:C\Program\wanadoo\sondageDeInstallation.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusal way. Please contact the applicators support team

Thanks

Hi

Okay - first reboot was fine - no error message.

logged back onto this page - computer slowed right down - dr watson message appeared again and then computer locked up completely.

Rebooted again - spywareguard appeared in the system tray, after this dr watson message reappeared - spywareguard disappeared along with all other icons after this.

On rebooting - systems seems to hang itself - windows task manager - applications is trying to load "addresses" - but it stops responding. On ending task, system continues to boot up???? Have no idea what this application is. - its running now

Any ideas

Thanks

Can you try and uninstall SpywareGuard completely?
You may have to repeat the registry file.

Click here: http://www.silentrun...ent Runners.vbs to download Silentrunners.vbs.

Run the SilentRunners.vbs file. If your antivirus has a script blocker, you will get a warning asking if you want to allow SilentRunners.vbs to run. It might say something like "Malicious Script Warning". This script is not malicious so you are safe in allowing it to run.

When it is finished it will produce a Startup Programs text file. Post that one.

Hi

Okay - spywareguard now removed. On reboot - so far - no Dr watson message.

On following your links above for silent runners and the reg entry - firefox took me to just a text page where I couldn't download anything. Had to open IE and download - any reason for this????

Firefox (and Opera) don't just download files like IE does when they can open them and display the content.
That provides better security, but sometimes it's a bit more of a hassle.

Copy the part in bold below into notepad and save it as donwana.reg

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{01002DB2-8170-4D9B-A8B1-DDC9DD114E03}]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{3BAF4A27-C764-4E1A-A6F4-62F7A7E5E51C}]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{5BF498C0-931E-4A4F-B33F-456D07137EAA}]

Doubleclick that file and confirm you want to merge it with the registry.

I think that should do it.

Hi

Okay - just rebooted and everything appears to be back to normal.

Thank you very much for your help.

Can I reinstall Spywareguard?
