ATI card Problem

hey,i recently bought a new card xfx hd 4890 and i keep getting black artifacs ingame...ive always had a nvidia card and could install the drivers no prob but i think im lost cause i dont think i have the right drivers...happens in most games i get these black marks on the screen..

Shouldn't have artifacs of any type.
The card may be faulty, If so, send it back.
