HELP PLSE Booting problems im so confused

Recently my computer has been rebooting for no reason. Then yesterday i got serious virus threat alert win32 it was called.

The AVG removed it i logged off and went to bed.

Today i switch pc on it hangs at black screen with curser blinkingon left top corner. No Fkeys work to allow meto safe mode. I installed my xpdisk and clicked repair which it did but still no joys.

When it is on the black screen i can hear the hard drive chattering really loud clicking andclacking but nothing seems to happen,Has my HD packed up?

All help appreciated
