When running through the ad-aware step of the clean-up process, it appears that when I run the "Quarantine" command the progress bar gets all the way to the end and appears to hang. I ran ad-aware again last night and had the same critical file count and it did the same thing, thereby leaving me to believe that it's not finishing the command. I just downloaded the app 5/24 and its build 1.05. Am I just not waiting long enough or is there another problem?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom and welcome to GTG.

You checked all those that are found and clicked on the Next button right? Then it says Quaranting... and froze?

Did you run Spybot yet and a online virus scan? If not, do so now. Then I want you to give me a HjiackThis log. It might be a infection that's preventing you from running the cleanup process for Ad-aware.

That's correct, exactly as you described. I'll run spybot tonight and the online virus scan and try to post the log. I'm still a little new to this, but there is certainly a high level of reassurance joining GTG.

Appreciate all the help,
Tom

Hi Tom, most of these shouldn't take too long to scan, except for maybe the online virus scan.

We are very busy here at GTG with the number of users seeking help each and every day, but we try our best to keep things up to speed - which is almost impossible :tazz: No problem here though, since the helpers who reply will be subscribed to your topic (me in this case ;)).

Will be waiting for that HijackThis log.
