My daughters system board went out so I took her hard drive and stuck it in a HP M7190N that a friend gave me because her hard drive crashed and it was easier for her to just buy a new system.

The computer 'works' fine, but I am having trouble finding the proper drivers, the main one being for the network interface card. Any suggestions as to how I can resolve my driver issue would be greatly appreciated.

Does your computer come with any CD? What are they labeled?
If not, could you please post the hardware specs? Like, the computer model, motherboard model...

I did a search on the model you posted, only one result came up and it was Chines. You may have to look at the motherboard and see who the manufacturer is. If the net card is separate then look on the card to see who made it and go to their site.

Placing a hard drive from a computer into another computer and expecting it to work is real luck. It generally does not work. You will have all types of driver issues because the OS on the drive is using drivers from the old board.

Lets see if we can get some system information.

Download and install PC Wizard 2010

Run the program and it will analyze your computer and then display the results.
In the upper left hand corner click on the floppy icon.
You will get a save as screen.
Change the range bullet "only this selection" to be "selected category".
Make sure that text is selected for format.
Click on ok and you will be given a spot to save it to.

Attach it to your response.

Please Go to

1: STARTand the click on RUN
2: Type in devmgmt.msc
3: Click Enter
4. Look for any entries with Yellow Exclamation ! marks or Red X's

In your next reply please include those results
