Welcome to GTG.

Can you give us more details? What exactly are you trying to do here? Split text up?

OK, so you want to separate the data you have in Excel now into delimited text? Could you give me a sample (change any data if you don't want me to know the actual data) for a few of these data fields and how you want them to be changed? Give me a before and after example so I can have a clearer idea of what you have now.

Honestly I don't even know. I have a spreadsheet with about 22 columns including, name, address, phone number, social security numbers, etc etc. Basically it's for loans. I work with my brother in a loan office and I need these fields i.e name address etc etc put into delimited text so they can be implimented into the fields of the program ACT and i set up ACT with the same fields as name, address, phone number etc etc. ACT only will import delimited text files and this spreadsheet is not .txt. I hope that helps. If you need more info let me know again. I'm sorry it's kinda hard to explain.

OK, so basically they are not delimited at all now?

I just took a look and see that Excel has an option to save it as a delimited text file. Try it out yourself. Backup this copy and try saving it as delimited text. It's under Save As Type -> Text (Tab delimited)(*.txt).

Do you have to use commas as delimiters or are the tabs like above ok?
