Got new Deskjet D1660. Printer works good on Word Pad but cancels out wireless internet. Internet comes back when printer is unplugged. Wondering if all would work ok if cable was connected INSTEAD of wireless. ;) :D

The Deskjet D1660 is a standard printer. It isn't wireless. With all due respect, I don't see how it can knock an internet connection out in any way, shape or form.
You can try running a network cable from your router to the machine.
