looking through "my computer" has become a huge pain lately because it seems like if i go to a folder with a lot of pictures or mp3's, it freezes up the program (just sits there with a flashlight searching for whatever)... i have a new laptop with a fast enough processor and enough ram (i have no trouble running games etc), so there must be some problem with XP... has anyone else had this trouble?

do you have a lot of large files in that folder (MP3)? Does it do it on this folder only or does it do this on any folder you try to look at?

How are you viewing the files? Trying looking at the files as "details" or "list."

Another thing that may help, what specs are your PC, and what other processes are running in the background?
