I have a Compaq laptop running Vista, I got that nasty trojan malware that won't let me boot up my computer and sends me to the dreaded blue screen of death which then reboots me into safe mode options. I can run in safe mode, but need to reformat to get rid of this thing and start over, I've read several other posts regarding this virus/malware and have them same issues trying to get rid of it. Already bought an external hard drive and backed up my important files. What do I do now? apparently there are no partitions on my computer and I don't have a recovery disk, my computer came with instructions to "restore your system without discs" but it isn't working. Help?

Thanks!
