Hi Could someone help?
My SDHC micro card seems to have got corrupted while i was copying photos to it.There was a few GBs of data on it.
The card was in my mobile phone at the time(connected to the PC) but the lead must have
come loose and corrupted the card i cant access the files on the mobile or PC.The drive letter of the card shows up in My Computer
and when i click on it it says."Please insert disk into drive:F"
I have tried Right Clicking on the card (Properties-Tools-Error checking+Check disk removal disk :F)
Doesnt do anything-Tried CHKDSK it cant access the card either!
I have tried photo recovery and data rescue programs but they cant access the drive. Here's a pic of the drive in My Computer.

Does the same phone you had it in read it still? Or is it non-readable in any source you attach it to?

Hi,
No the mobile(HTC Hero) can't access the card either.
It says "SD Card damaged please reformat"
I have tried card readers as well.
Is there anything that could open a card in this state?

What recovery software have you tried, Recuva has a high success rate but if not you may get lucky with one of the other programmes here http://www.snapfiles...tarecovery.HTML or here
http://3d2f.com/tags...sh/disk/repair/ Best of luck!

Wait! I put the micro card into my PSP with an adapter, and i connected it to the PC with a USB lead and it showed up the folders and files.
Still cant open any photos or files though.(Shows thumbnails of photos but PC wont open them or any mp3s etc.)
It's a start anyway!
This is the way the card shows up in My Computer when run through the PSP

See if you can copy the files to a different location and then try to open them.

I got it fixed! :D I ran it through the PSP again and was able to open photos mp3s etc.
I quickly copied them to the PC.It must be the USB sockets on the PC(laptop)playing up a bit.
Or would there have been another reason?I must try the card in my mobile now!
Thanks for your help!

Congratulations I am happy to hear you retrieved your data ;)
Now you have your data safely backed up try formatting the card and see if it functions correctly in the future, as you may have been fortunate and caught it before it failed completely, and thanks for posting how you managed to back up the data it may help someone in the future :D
