It seems all of a sudden anytime I open any .exe file it has a 50/50 chance to crash with the message that <insert name> has stopped working. I tried doing a system restore after it happened and it did not work. I scanned for malware/spyware/viruses (after about 10 attempts to get it to run) and found nothing. I've looked all over but the only thing close I can find is something associated with a virus that prevents .exe's from opening at all. Let me know if I have to post a log of anything on here. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Cobbobles,

This problem could be caused by malware, but it is not necessarily the cause.
Follow these instructions and post a log in the appropriate forum:

Malware and spyware cleaning guide

After your computer is declared clean and the problem persist, we can always look for other causes to the problem.

Hope to help,

Mythio
