have had a toshiba laptop for about 6 to 7 months. a while back it would do a random freeze..mouse, keyboard..everything freezes. only thing i could do is power off. it started doing it more and more often. tried a new hard drive, still doing it. now its so bad that as soon as i turn it on it will freeze in the bios. i look at the fan and it stops as soon as it freezes. what in the world is the problem. ive heard overheating but its not that when its not on for 10 seconds before it freezes. any suggestions?

Call Toshiba tech support. It should still be under warranty.
