cannot access a web site

Hi,

I am having trouble accessing a web site. When I try, I get this message after it times out. "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (www.esalerugs.com) is not responding. This is the only website that I am having trouble accessing. I have been trying to figure this out for a day, but I'm just not smart enough about computers. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Is the site you mentioned the one you can't access?
I tried it with no problems.
Try this and see if it helps.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

If this does not work then:

Go to:

Start and then My Computer
Right Click On "C" drive and then click on Properties
Click on Tools tab at the top
In the Error Checking field click Check Now

When that is done

Download Auslogics Defrag from the link in my signature below. Auslogics Defrag in my opinion is better because:

It does a more comprehensive job at Defragging
It will actually show you what it is doing
At the end of working it will show you how much speed you picked up
You can view a online log of the files that Auslogics defragged


Reboot and let me know how system is running now

Hi

Yes the esalerugs.com is the only website that I cannot get into. I was able to access it yesterday, but not today.

I did everything that you said to do and I still can't access the site. Thank you for your help. Do you have any more suggestions?

Firefox and IE. My Firefox changed yesterday. I don't know if I did something to it or not. Thank you for your time.

OK lets clean somethings and see if it helps.
ATF should have done this but lets make sure. We will start with IE with the following instructions.

1. From the Tools menu in the upper right, select Internet Options.

2. Under "Browsing history", click Delete... .

3. To delete your cache, click Delete files... .

To delete your cookies, click Delete cookies... .

To delete your history, click Delete history... .
4. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.

OK I have done what you said. I keep checking to see if I can get into the website yet but no luck. Thank you.

OK let me check something real quick.
Download Autoruns from the link in my signature below:

1: Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.
2: Double-click the "Autoruns.exe".
3: Click on the "Everything" tab
4: Remove any entries that mention "File Not Found" by right-clicking the entry and select Delete.
5: Go to File then to Export As or Save in some versions.
6: Save AutoRuns.txt file to known location like your Desktop.
7: Attach to your next reply.

Did you save it as autoruns.tct or is it saved as autoruns.arn?
The second won't work

I saved it as autoruns.tct, I think. I have the text on my desktop but can't seem to post it on here. I am really computer simple. Can you explain to me how to do this? Thank you.
