need to keep 3 yr old from changing properties!

My 3 yr old keeps changing properties in the control panel even under a limited account in windows XP! she will bring up her games and mess around with mine, she hides my shortcuts, and my start bar! please tell me how in the world i can block her from my control panel!

hmm, makes it tougher.

First, password protect your account

Second, download Tweakui, powertoy for windows XP (google it), then load it, then go to CONTROL PANEL section and uncheck any dangerous applets (or all of them)....this will at least create a second step--can also make a registry change but this will be easier for you in the long run.

Right click yout taskbar, choose Properties, then LOCK your taskbar

Hi,

Windows XP has options to help you solve your problem. As stated before in this topic, make a password on your XP account. Also, create her an account. This way she will not mess up yours.
