I have an HP Compaq Pavilion a735w System with Windows XP. It's an older model computer that my mom handed down to me after my laptop stopped working. I play MMO's and after downloading World of Warcraft on this computer I began having issues with the graphics in-game. I installed and updated the graphics drivers (the last available update was in 2005) as well as adjusted the screen resolution and it didn't correct the issue. I believe I'm going to need a new/better graphics card, but my question is, do you think there is a hardware option that will be compatible with this old of a computer?

I also had a friend suggest that the problem may be the monitor. I just don't have a way to test this theory.

Cards are (just about) available, but realistically the machine is getting on for six years old. Any "decent" card you buy will probably cost on its own more than the machine is currently worth at the moment.
