i recently was messing around with my pc and took my possecor out and put it right back in just to look at it and now the screen says "please insert boot diskette in driver A//: an im dont no what that is or where its found. Answers are greatly loved?

Sounds like you may have loosened the hd ribbon from either the HD or the MOBO.

wel i undid the lift thing, and never touched the sporkets blow the dust off and put it back in. Sorry i dont not the technaical terms :D. But is my pc screwed now?

I doubt it.
The message you are getting indicates the system is not seeing the hd.
It has nothing to do with what you did but only that by accident you may have dislodged the data ribbon cable to the HD somehow.
Fixable I'm sure.

No sir, It didnt have one. It has one to the hard drive and Drivers.

Is there one to the hard drive?
That is the one I'm talking about.
Check it to make sure it didn't get pulled loose from the motherboard.

well i thought it was, but it pop up saying it agian. But now its make a knocking noise. Im sorry about that other post i wasnt sure were to post this so i post it here, then there.

Is it a knocking noise or like a clicking noise?
Can you tell where the noise is coming from?
I take it this is a desktop so if you open the side up can you narrow down where the noise is coming from?
