possibly installed the wrong ahci vostro 1520

i dont have a floppy drive usb or otherwise so it is a bit annoying trying to install a ahci driver on a dll vostro 1520 running windows XP. i installed one of the intel matrix storage drivers and the computer rebooted and ran fine in ahci mode but i havent even finished installing the drivers yet and am expiriancing intermittant bsods. can you please tell me the exact ahci device that is on these machines so i can go and manually pick a better driver

Hi mikeloeven,

What I've found for the Dell vostro 1520 is the following:

Intel® ICH9M E-SATA AHCI Controller

I'd suggest finding a driver for that :-)
