When I try to do a search from the "Start" menu, I get the following mssg.
"Windows search isn't running, To start, click the Start menu, point to all programs, then click windows search,,,,,"

I have no "windows search" option to click on.
I'm running Windows XP svc pk 3.

I'd appreciate some help, Thank You.

If when you click Start and Search you get this - on the screenshot.
You can either, on the left hand pane, click use Search Companion and that will work
OR if you want to use the first opened Windows Search - go Start, Run and type "services.msc" without quotes. |Then scroll down to Windows Search.Check and you will probably find it is disabled. Double click and set for manual. Click Apply and OK
