Ok, I think I've stumbled into and been infected by this virus:

Trojan-Ransom.Win32.Gpcode.ax

Apparently this virus is newly discovered (25th nov 2010 it was first come across).

This is exactly what I have.

I've looked everywhere for a fix but cant seem to find one... I havent been here for awhile as I've been keeping on top of virus's etc, but zonealarm and malware bytes missed this one and cant fix....

Please help..

Well I've done some extensive research on this nastly little virus, and it appears that at the moment there is no fix for this.

Signatures were added to kasperspy's AV on the 29/11/10 ... not sure about others, but I suggest everyone makes sure that they are protected, otherwise they will lose all data, just like I think I have.
