Dell inspiron 1525 won't run. Need help Asap

My Dell inspiron 1525 won't boot. When I turn press power button, it turns on but screen is black and the hdd don't seem to be running, the num lock is solid and the cap and scroll lock is blinking continuously. The fan runs too. But nothing else is responding. Please help thanks

Turn it all the way off, wait 15 or so seconds then turn it back on. As soon as you see the Dell logo, press [F12] immediately then select "Diagnostics" from the boot menu and press [Enter]. If you see a message stating that no diagnostics utility partition has been found, run the Dell Diagnostics from your "Drivers and Utilities" CD/DVD.

I can't, the screen is completely black from the start. I can hear the laptop start up then it just like stops. I can hear the fan spinning and the disc drive spinning but everything else is unresponsive.

Hi, the leds point to a memory problem, try reseating & make sure that they are fully seated. This link gives the led codes & should be the same for your 1525.
