Hello!  My Thunderbird email decided to stop running.  Will not open.  Any suggestions?  I am running Windows 7 Home premium.  Thanks!

Try safe mode.

Step 1: Press Windows + R keys to open the Run app.

Step 2: Type thunderbird -safe-mode and click the OK button.

Step 3: A window will appear. Select the Continue in Safe Mode option to start the application.

If still no good

reinstall Thunderbird.

Thanks for the reply.  When I type in "thunderbird -safe-mode", and hit OK, nothing happens.  In the end I may have to re-install.  Thoughts, though, why nothing comes up when I try for safe mode?!  Thanks!

Did you type it in the run box?

Hold down the Shift key while starting Thunderbird.

I did type it into the Run option.  I tried Shift while starting Thunderbird.  Nothing.  I tried with the short cut and actual exe.

Or wait to see if someone else has an idea.

Ok, I'll wait for a few days to see if anyone else has any suggestions.  Thanks for your help!
