hti ctr-alt-dlete and then hit the processes tab, it will show you what programs are using how much CPU power. once yoiu find the culprit, ditch it if you have too. if it's not a program you recognize or installed, then it might be adviseable to to runa Hijack This log and post it in the malware removal forum to see if there is anything else suspicious.

thanks for ur help.......i appreciate it.....if you have a high cpu utilization then the likely issue is that you have something running in the background taht is a resource hog.
